>>>What you should know about HIV testing<<< In order to do an HIV test, you have to go directly to the ROOM NUMBER 2.
There is no need to register or announce yourself at the reception desk!
The ROOM NUMBER 2 is located outside of the reception and the Blood Collection Room (Gabinet Pobrań). To find the room, follow the arrows.
The door to the ROOM NUMBER 2 is usually open. If the door is closed, the counsellor is busy (please knock the door- the counsellor will either invite you in or kindly ask you to wait).
The next step of the testing procedure is the blood collection, which takes place in the BLOOD COLLECTION ROOM (Gabinet Pobrań).
The results are given by the counsellor in the ROOM NUMBER 6 (upstairs).
PLEASE NOTE: To get an HIV test you don’t need a doctor’s referral, nor insurance or ID. The HIV test is also free of charge and anonymous.
You don’t have to be a Polish citizen. You will not be asked to present a residence permit or passport. No preparation is needed for the test.
The results can be collected only in person. We don’t give the results online or on the phone.
The results are given by the counsellor, which is a good opportunity to raise any concerns and clarify any doubts towards the test’s meaning.
To receive the result, you ought to give the number and password, created by you.
The HIV test should be conducted at least 12 weeks from the situation that could cause the HIV infection. The result is then accurate, and the possibility of HIV infection can be fully eliminated.
